All of the slugs from 54.5 to 65.5 are absolute lasers out of the Superior Heavy FX liner!  They tend to be a little more forgiving with the speed than the .22s are, but seem to be happiest in the 960 fps range.  I've always had same hole accuracy with NSA's .30 slugs.

What is you liner length? What is the group size you get? How about the distance?
rallyshark | 2/2/2023 6:21 PM
My testing was with the 700mm heavy liner.  The group size was same hole at 30 yards, and sub MOA at 100 yards.  I didn't shoot for groups after the 30 yard zero(which is the my preferred zero).  I'm a hunter and rarely shoot for groups, other than my zero distance.   Pieces of gravel about an inch in size off the top of a gate at 110 yards were a hit every time as long as I did my part.  I also easily shot cans and critters well past 200 yards.  Shooting around 960 with the 61.5 is what I did the above with, but the barrel was equally as accurate around the same speeds with the 54.5 and 65.5.

Hello Malko,
STX Superior Heavy Liner w/Carbon Fiber Sleeve 700mm right now at 45 to 50 yards is 1 moa. but when I go to a 100 yards different ball game... I will be going Friday again.

Hello Malko,
700mm my goal is 1 moa at 100 yards. At 50 yards is 1 moa sometimes less. I am still trying to play with my numbers.

Malko, I really appreciate your help.

Hello rallyshark,

I am very new to the PCP world.
I am using 54.5 slugs with FX Impact M3 700mm barrel with carbon fiber sleeve and the superior heavy. What are your tuning numbers for 960 FPS?
smgc@att.net | 3/1/2023 12:10 AM
I shoot 54.5 after talking to Mr. Nielsen NSA Ammo he recommended the 54.5. I am using the Superior Heavy FX liner with the carbon sleeve. I added 700cc air bottle get a few more shoots. I went to the range to test 45 to 50 yard, pretty accurate I think, I am just a beginner.

What do you guys think of my speed? Should I keep trying to get to 960?

I am wondering if the speed is to low for 200 yards, I am trying to get 1 MOA at 50 but dang, moving over to 100 it's a new ballgame. I guess on Thursday or Friday I will find out.

Mine was most accurate in the 950-960 fps range, and I'd recommend trying to get the speed up to at least 950 fps if the gun can do it without too much trouble.  The accuracy started falling off for me, when I got below 950.  Every barrel is different, but mine has always been happiest in the 950+ range.  When you start trying to be really accurate at 100+ yards, the little things matter a lot more, so focus on being consistent with your gun hold/shooting habits.  A good scope is always a big help too.  Don't skimp on the glass ;)

I purchased a Vortex Strike King FFP 5X25X56 34mm Tube it's Illuminated EBR-7C (MOA) Retractile, it's probably a little over kill, and I purchased an Accu-Tac FC-G2 Quick Detach, F Class Bipod, Black Finish. I just came back from the range

Not sure if I should play with the valve adjuster or my micro wheel? What do you think?

I am wondering if these numbers are fast enough to kill coyote.

That will work, but accuracy is key.  Nobody wants to go out there and wound animals.  I well placed shot will do the job just fine.  I forgot to share my tuning info from your question above, but I suspect it may not be useful.  I'm using a Maverick with a ton of modifications, and my settings won't really apply to another FX gun without the same modifications.
